This goes without saying, but as well as clothes, you need to make sure that you’re packing all essential documents and extra travel items, such as sun cream, medication and all of your electronics. You should also make sure you have chargers and money packed! You might not need to pack many toiletries, are there are plenty of places in Greece where you can find shower gel and much more. However, there are some things you should avoid and some things you should pack when it comes to your clothes – here are the best packing tips for men going to Greece.
Long Trousers
In many religious sites in Greece, you may need to cover your legs. If you’re planning on visiting a lot of heritage sites and beautiful Greek churches, it’s a good idea to pack some long trousers so that you’re not breaking any dress codes. You don’t want to travel all that way and not be able to see everything you want to! Some restaurants in the evening also require you to be more smartly dressed, so packing long trousers is a good idea.
Shorts
Although you may need to wear long trousers in the evenings and when visiting certain sites, you should also pack a lot of pairs of shorts. Greece can get very warm, particularly in the summer months. You don’t want to overheat and be uncomfortable when you’re exploring the beautiful landscape. Shorts in fabrics such as linen and cotton are really absorbent and are fantastic for keeping you cool while you’re walking around and exploring. Pair your shorts with a button-up shirt for a very classic summer Greece look.
Long Sleeved Shirt
If you’re considering going to quite a fancy restaurant, you might want to consider packing one long-sleeved shirt among your short sleeve button-downs. Greece can sometimes get a little chillier as the evening goes on, so a long-sleeved shirt might be the remedy when you’re enjoying your evening meal. You may also want to cover your arms in case you accidentally get sunburnt, so you can better protect your skin.
T-Shirts
Stylish and casual t-shirts are some of the best picks when it comes to packing men’s clothes for a Greek holiday. They are cool and often made of cotton, so you won’t overheat every day. They are also easy to wash and dry, in case you run out of clothes or decide to extend your trip.
If you want a matching t-shirt and shorts look so you can look stylish, you could look for some summery mens twinsets so you can look stylish but comfortable during your holiday.
Swim Shorts
If you’re visiting Greece, you should try to find time to explore one of the beautiful beaches that line the coast of the mainland and the islands. Greece is famous around the world for its gorgeous white sand beaches and stunning cerulean oceans. Pack at least two pairs of good swim shorts, so you can enjoy your time at the beach and swim in the beautiful ocean. In the Greek sun, your swim shorts should dry very quickly
Good Walking Shoes
If you’re planning on exploring all of the beautiful mountains and landscapes that Greece has to offer, you should definitely consider investing in some good walking shoes. Some of Greece’s terrain can be rocky and sometimes difficult to walk on, however, if you bring the right footwear, you should be able to explore different trails in peace. If you’re planning on exploring the mountains, you should start wearing in your walking shoes before you leave, so you’re not in pain during your walk.
Sandals
Greece can get extremely warm in the summer, so if you’re planning on spending a lot of time walking around, you should definitely think about packing sliders or sandals. For better grip when you’re walking, try to look for some with rubber soles and straps so they won’t fall off when you’re trying to walk around. If you’re planning on spending time at the beach, you should also look for some beach sandals so you can avoid sea anemones.
Stylish Trainers
You should also consider packing a pair of stylish trainers when you’re going to Greece. Sandals are usually a great footwear option, however, if you’re exploring a city while you’re there such as Athens, it might be better to bring a pair of trainers. This is because city life can be very bustling, so wearing trainers might be a better idea when it comes to shopping, eating and exploring a big city.
There are also some things that you should avoid when you’re packing your suitcase for Greece, as you won’t need to wear them. They will only take up space in your bags, and mean you won’t be able to pack as much as you want to.
Heavy Clothes
Heavy clothes such as thick t-shirts, flannel shirts and heavy trousers should be left in your wardrobe. If you take these clothes to Greece, you run the risk of overheating and becoming uncomfortable. It’s much better to pack light clothes, so you can move around freely and stay cool during your holiday.
Big Jackets
One thing you definitely will not need to pack for your trip to Greece is a big coat or jacket, especially if you’re visiting in the summer. Greece is usually very warm, and rain doesn’t happen a lot. If you are particularly worried about rain, pack a very light windbreaker. In terms of other jackets, if you really want to bring one, a light denim jacket is perfect. Anything thicker will cause you to be too hot or will restrict your movements.

Know the Pros and Cons of Chartering a Private Jet
Chartering a private jet may be the answer if you’re getting tired of all the hassles associated with commercial air travel.
Though jet charter is commonly associated with high-profile personalities and business travel, in recent years, it has grown in popularity among group travelers going on vacation and families seeking a stress-free and safe travel with a private jet. Still, some claim that it’s a too pricey, excessive, and superfluous way to fly.
Is chartering a private jet worth it? You’ll have to weigh the pros and cons; the advantages and disadvantages of a private jet charter to find out if it is the best choice for you.
Pros of Flying Private
Here are the top 5 reasons to fly private on your next trip:
1. Privacy and Confidentiality
If you’ve ever taken a first-class or business class flight, then you already know that the airline really takes special measures to give their passengers more privacy. But of course, nothing compares to the complete privacy and exclusivity that a private jet charter can offer since you have the entire plane for yourself for the entire duration of the flight.
2. Luxury and Comfort
Flying private is indeed a one-of-a-kind experience. Depending on the type of plane you charter, you can have access to amenities like plush leather seats, on-board wi-fi, custom catering, and the latest entertainment systems. Chartering a private jet isn’t just about traveling to your destination, but also feeling at ease and having a good time while getting there.
3. Personalized In-Flight Service
Personalization has a significant impact on the overall quality of your flight. Many aspects of your private jet charter can be customized according to your preferences, including the aircraft model, passenger capacity, catering, and amenities. You can even organize a party in the skies with the food and entertainment of your choice. All of your needs will be met by the flight crew, available to you at all times during your flight.
4. Stress-Free Airport Experience
A bustling airport is probably going to be your first stop when you fly commercial. You’ll pass through several check-in counters and security checks, and will need to arrive hours before your flight to make room for possible delays. When you charter a private jet, on the other hand, you’re essentially flying on your own plane. You’ll board from a private terminal or FBO and won’t have to worry about missing your flight even if you get to the tarmac just in the nick of time.
5. Flexibility and Accessibility
Since private jets have access to small airports and FBOs, you have the option to land and take off on locations that would otherwise be inaccessible to commercial flights. Moreover, you can generally book a private jet charter with very little notice. Some jet charter companies can have a jet ready for take-off in a few hours.
Cons of Flying Private
Despite the many luxuries and conveniences of flying private, it is not without downsides, such as:
1. Susceptibility to Weather Delays
A private jet charter may solve many of the delay issues associated with flying commercial, but not weather delays. Because most private jets are significantly smaller in size than the commercial airlines, they may be unable to withstand certain weather conditions that could be handled by commercial planes. In the event of a storm, a private jet may postpone or cancel the flight altogether.
2. Higher Costs
The issue that most people have with private aviation is the price tag that comes with it. But, of course it’s understandable that the added convenience, comfort, and luxury of flying private comes at a higher cost. If you have a flexible schedule or are not too fussy about sharing a jet with other people, though, you can either charter an empty leg flight or book a shared private flight to significantly cut costs.
3. Strict Cancellation Policy
The rules on canceling a charter are rather rigorous. Most companies have a “use-it-or-lose-it” policy where you will be required to pay a penalty for cancellation and may not be entitled to a refund. However, some charter companies may allow a substitute passenger to fly in your place for a small fee.
4. Baggage Limitations
A lot of people believe that you can just take whatever you want when you fly private, but this isn’t the case. Some private planes, usually smaller ones, have an even stricter baggage policy than commercial airlines since excess weight can affect the jet’s performance. Flying commercial may be the better option if you’re traveling in a large group and have a lot of luggage or heavy items to transport.
5. Requires More Planning
Because commercial airlines transport a large number of passengers, they need to adhere to a set of rules designed to keep things organized. Meals and refreshments are prepared ahead of time and the departure and arrival times are already set. When you fly private, you’ll need to arrange things in advance with the charter company if you want a customized airline experience.
While chartering a private jet does require more effort on your end in terms of planning, as long as you work with an experienced and reliable charter service. Combine it with a trustworthy VIP transfer company and everything will be worth it in the end!
