Rhodes Island has long been a dream destination for many people around the world. There are a lot of must-do things in Rhodes island, this is what inspired me to save up for a trip to this place. So, when it finally happened, I was just so elated and felt like it was actually a dream. Charming is the first word that came to mind when I landed. There’s so much to experience during your stay on  the beautiful island of Rhodes? Since I wanted to make the most out of its charm, I made sure to try as many activities and tours in Rhodes as I can throughout my stay. Below,

 

Sunset Watching in Monolithos Castle

There is always something enthralling about sunsets but I must say that the sunset I witnessed at Monolithos Castle was truly exceptional. The stunning fortress is situated just 2 km away from the village of Monolithos, which has taken the name from.

I must admit that the steps leading to the castle posed some challenge for me but I forgot everything once I saw the lovely sun and its reflection on the Aegean Sea.

Scuba Diving

I wasn’t really too keen about scuba diving but everything changed when I gave a try during my Rhodes Island trip. Scuba divers from all over the world are flocking to the place because of the place’s undeniable beauty. Both novices and veteran scuba divers can choose from a plethora of diving sites available all over the island.

Rock Climbing

There was something unique about rock climbing in Rhodes Island. More than the thrill and adventure, the experience was made even better because of the panoramic views that surrounded me. Everything was just so beautiful that added up to the adrenaline-rush that I felt while holding tightly to the rope.

Stand Up Boarding

I was lucky enough to explore most parts of the island including the east coast and of course, I didn’t miss the chance to try stand up boarding that the area is popular for. The paddling in itself was already fun made even more fun as I take in the wondrous beauty of the cliffs on the coast of Stegna. This is definitely one of the must-do things in Rhodes island!

Sightseeing Lindos

You will certainly have a morning of spectacular views and beauty. No visit to Rhodes island is complete without a visit to the picturesque Lindos. Arriving into the area, take in the impressive view of traditional Greek white houses set in the hillside of Lindos. Take a walk or a donkey up to the top to visit the Acropolis which stands tall towering over the sea. Stroll around the winding streets with its unique shops and cafes.

Swimming

No matter where you go in Rhodes Island, expect to be surrounded by long stretches of beaches that those who love swimming spend hours soaking in the shimmering waters. Make sure to go for a swim!

Do not worry if you don’t drive or just haven’t a car. You can arrange all your rhodes transfers in one of many reliable travel agencies.

 

Wind Surfing in Prasonisi

Prasonisi is one of the best spots for athletes who want to go for wind surfing. The climate in the area is windy enough that made this activity a must-try. I was hesitant to try it at first but when I finally did, I was glad that I made the right decision.

Being an island means that Rhodes is the perfect destination for those who love going on boat trips. I personally made sure to try both the short and long trips and once again, the experience didn’t disappoint. The short boat trips were already wonderful but the longer ones were on a completely different level.

A visit to the famous tranquil Butterfly Valley of Rhodes will blow your mind. Take a peaceful walk at your own pace through shaded, green valley with with its small river and beautiful waterfalls. Hike to Monastery of Kalopetra and admire the panoramic view this location offers. Another of the must-do things in Rhodes island!
